The testbed offers new opportunities for the food and agricultural industry to extract fat-soluble substances from biological residues and side streams in an environmentally friendly way, without the addition of organic solvents. The testbed also has the potential to be further developed for applications such as powder coating with supercritical technology as well as carbon dioxide drying.
