Your Next Chapter in Sweden: International House Gothenburg Meets Indian Talent

International House Gothenburg will participate in Work in Sweden 2026 in Bengaluru, an exclusive event connecting highly qualified Indian STEM professionals with opportunities to work and live in Sweden.

Sheeba Alakkal from International House Gothenburg will be there to introduce the organisation and share practical insights into settling in the Gothenburg region. Meet her to learn more about the support available to international professionals and their families, from navigating the Swedish labour market and exploring career opportunities to understanding education, childcare and everyday life.

Finding a job is an important first step towards an international career, but building a life in a new country involves much more.

International House Gothenburg is a welcoming place for international professionals and their families who are considering a move to the region or have recently arrived.  We provide free information, guidance and activities to help newcomers navigate the transition and establish themselves in Gothenburg.

Its services cover three main areas:

• Work and career: Learn about the Swedish labour market, recruitment practices, job-search strategies and career development opportunities.
• Education and skills: Explore further studies, educational opportunities and ways to develop skills relevant to the Swedish labour market.
• Everyday life in Sweden: Find out about schools, childcare, Swedish society and practical aspects of settling into a new country.

Through career events, workshops, networking activities and individual guidance, International House Gothenburg helps international professionals and their families make informed decisions and feel more at home in their new surroundings.
