You have the experience. You have the skills. But when building a career and professional network in a new country, you need to be both understood and remembered.

Whether you're meeting someone at a networking event, having a fika with a new connection, introducing yourself to an employer or answering “Tell me about yourself” in an interview, your story can help people understand not just what you have done, but what you bring.

Storytelling is the tool that helps you do that because it turns raw facts into a structured, vivid experience. The result is people don’t just hear your background; they feel it and carry it with them.

In this interactive workshop, you’ll discover how storytelling can turn your experience from a list of facts into something clear, engaging and memorable.

What you'll learn

You’ll explore:

  • Why stories are easier for people to understand and remember, including the science and neuroscience behind storytelling.
  • The essential building blocks of a compelling story.
  • Which experiences from your own career and life are worth sharing and how to adapt them to different situations.
  • How to communicate your strengths and experiences without simply reciting your CV.
  • How to shape and tell your own story through practical exercises.

Expect more than a presentation

This is a hands-on session combining short teaching segments with individual and group exercises. You’ll have opportunities to practise telling your own stories in a supportive environment and leave with techniques you can immediately use in networking, interviews and professional conversations.

Two hours. No preparation. Plenty of practice. There will be some writing and reflection during the session. You’re welcome to bring your laptop, tablet or notebook if you prefer to write digitally. Just bring your experiences and be ready to explore how to turn them into stories worth remembering.

📩 Seats are limited, so reserve your spot today! We will be serving light refreshments. In case your plans change after signing up, please cancel in advance to give others the chance to join.
