Mobility & Transportation

Gothenburg is the automotive capital of Sweden and also a hotspot for the development of electromobility. It is also one of few regions in the world with a complete vehicle value chain. • Näst Innovation Destination – with a vision to build an ecosystem where development, collaboration and co-creation turn visions into reality. One example established here is Näst Energy Lab, a testbed for future energy solutions, with Volvo Cars V2G pilot project.

They are in charge of several of Sweden’s leading development and research programs with focus on future mobility for people and goods. The Yard – a dynamic and innovative meeting place for tech enthusiasts and entrepreneurs. It offers workplaces and also a large maker space where members can work and test both software and hardware.

SII-Lab – Stena Industry and Innovation Lab operate as part of the Production Systems division at the Institution for Industry and Material Sciences, Chalmers University of Technology. Focus is on sustainability and resilience in industrial production. A lab with state-of-the-art facilities to demonstrate and develop digital productions systems.
