Lovisa Bohlin

As Head of International House Gothenburg, I have been involved in developing the concept from its initial idea into a fully established organisation. International House Gothenburg is operated by Business Region Gothenburg and serves as a hub that helps international talent and their families find their place in Western Sweden. 

Today, I am responsible for the organisation’s strategic development, budgeting, board-related activities, as well as funding applications and follow-up. I also lead our team and our efforts to attract, welcome and create favourable conditions for international talent to settle and thrive in the region. 

I have personal experience of living and working abroad, both in Norway and Spain. This gives me a first-hand understanding of the opportunities and challenges that come with relocating and establishing a life in a new country. Prior to this role, I spent more than five years working in start-up environments, including as Head of Finance & HR. During that time, I developed expertise in HR, migration, change management, and the development of processes that facilitate the recruitment and integration of international talent.

Together with businesses, public sector organisations, and other partners, we also work to strengthen Western Sweden’s international attractiveness and support the development of both professional and social networks for people who choose to relocate here.
