Gothenburg hosts the world's first national electric car race
In June, things will be moving fast in the event area between Ullevi and Scandinavium. Twelve brand new cars, each boasting an impressive 550 hp under the hood, will be unleashed. And they are 100% electric.
The introduction of electric vehicles in competitive racing serves as an excellent demonstration of the potential and performance of green technology. This initiative aligns perfectly with the city’s strategic goals to promote innovation and a greener future.
Hosting an electrified race not only demonstrates our commitment to reducing carbon emissions but also highlights our role as leaders in the transition to sustainable transportation solutions.
For example, we are the project manager for the Gothenburg Green City Zone – an innovation zone where future transport systems are tested and developed. Here, an entirely new emission-free transport system will be created, requiring us to rethink, innovate, and collaborate. We start locally but with a vision to inspire others.
We are investing sustainably in the world's most sustainable destination.
