How long is maternity leave in Sweden?

Sweden offers generous parental leave conditions. Parents with a Swedish personal identity number and registered with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan) are entitled to 480 days of paid leave per child, with up to 80% of their previous salary.
