Economic Outlook – in collaboration with The Nordic Compass Summit

In collaboration with the Nordic Compass Summit, Business Region Göteborg presents Economic Outlook, an exclusive gathering of business leaders, policymakers and decision-makers to discuss the economic outlook for Gothenburg and the Nordic region.

• Drawing on the newly released Economic Outlook report, Business Region Göteborg will present the latest on the economic developments in the Gothenburg region. We are also pleased to welcome Jens Magnusson, Chief Economist at SEB, who provide a Nordic perspective on growth, competetiveness and the economic outlook. 
   
• The seminar will continue with a panel discussion: Can the Nordics become Europe's growth engine? And what does that mean for businesses in Gothenburg?
  The panel features Cecilia Malmström, researcher at Gothenburg School of Economics and Commercial Law, former European Commissioner for Trade and former Swedish Minister for European Union Affairs; Carl Bennet, industrialist, investor and Chairman of Getinge, Lifco and Elanders; and Karen Ellemann, Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The programme will continue with the official Opening Ceremony of the inaugural Nordic Compass Summit, featuring high-level panel discussions and keynote remarks on Nordic defence, competitiveness and economic development by top political leaders and leading executives, including Jyrki Katainen, chair of the Nordic Compass board and former Prime Minister of Finland and Jacob Wallenberg, Chair of both Svenskt Näringsliv and Investor AB.
