Busting ATS Myths in the Swedish Job Market

 In this session, participants will gain a realistic understanding of how Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) are used in recruitment and how to prepare job applications that truly make an impact.

We will start by addressing common misconceptions about ATS such as resumes being automatically rejected, the need for keyword tricks, or the belief that certain templates, graphics, or formats cannot be used. Participants will learn how these systems actually work and why much of the advice found online can be misleading.

The session will then focus on what really matters in the hiring process: writing clear and targeted resumes, crafting effective cover letters, and understanding how recruiters review applications. We will also discuss how interview callbacks are influenced and share practical strategies to improve application outcomes.

Finally, the session will provide a short overview of how AI is shaping recruitment and what job seekers can do to stay prepared for future changes. Participants will leave more confident about the role of ATS and better equipped to create strong applications that lead to interviews.
