Salary, benefits and social security – that’s how it works in Sweden
The presentation will touch upon several aspects of the Swedish labour market, including questions related to employment rights (different types of employment, how to terminate an employment), and social benefits related to employment (parental, illness, unemployment, and pensions). We will also discuss what is so special about trade unions in Sweden and why are there so many. The presentation will run for about 45 minutes followed by a Q&A-session.
The presenter is Friedrich Heger. He works as a labour law specialist for the trade union Engineers of Sweden. Friedrich came to Sweden fourteen years ago and learned the hard way how the Swedish labour market works. Now he wants to share his knowledge with newcomers to Sweden – and everyone else.
This is a hybrid event. A light lunch will be provided for those attending physically.
