Sahlgrenska Global Health Hackathon is a global series of weekend innovation hackathons spanning three continents and six countries, each scheduled on different dates. This journey of collaboration and creativity will culminate in the grand finale at the NLS Days conference in Gothenburg, Sweden, in October 2025.
Each hackathon brings together diverse talent to generate impactful ideas tackling critical global health challenges, driving forward advancements in healthcare. We welcome clinicians, healthcare providers, administrators, educators, AI and tech professionals, students, researchers in fields like biotechnology and health informatics, as well as experts in data science, health policy, economics, and management.
With the theme "Co-action addressing global health challenges," the hackathon centres around five key areas:
- Health equality and access to care (including gender and ethnicity health gaps)
- Cancer control
- Healthy aging and chronic disease management
- Infection prevention and control
- Smart, safe, and sustainable healthcare
The Sweden hackathon takes place on 1-2 February 2025, and registrations close on 12 January 2025. The locations include Gothenburg, Stockholm and Malmö. Learn more and sign-up for the Sweden hackathon
